Welcome to Silverton’s newest amenity, Shangri-La Soaking Pools, located in Smedley’s. After a hard day playing in the mountains there is no better way to relax and wind down. Silverton, unfortunately, doesn't have any natural hot springs for us to tap into, so we built three indoor pools, ranging from 99 degrees to 103 degrees, are sure to have the perfect temperature for you. Open year round, the Shangri-La Soaking Pools are the perfect way to make a spectacular visit to Silverton that much better.
The only pool and spa facility certified in Silverton, Colorado. Sharon and Paul Zimmerman, owners of the Pickle Barrel Restaurant and Smedley’s, have become certified by the National Swimming Pool Foundation, to operate a pool and spa facility. We feel this is an amenity that Silverton is sorely lacking, so during the winter of 2014/2015 we built it.
Our Shangri-La will add to your experience in the San Juan Mountains, while relaxing with family and friends. The many health benefits of hydrotherapy include: reduced stress, relief of aching muscles and joints, improved circulation, and hopefully a great night sleep.
